Myrtle Beach & Charleston

We depart this morning for a fun-filled week on the South Carolina Shore. We will make our first stop in Virginia and stay at the Holiday Inn Express Fredericksburg.

After a continental breakfast, we have another early start for our destination, world famous Myrtle Beach, SC. The Ocean Reef Resort Myrtle Beach is a great choice for a four-night stay! Our hotel is right on the beach and all rooms are oceanfront. Tonight, enjoy Dolly Parton’s Pirate Dinner Theatre where we join Captain Dread and his pirate crew for a swashbuckling good time plus a great dinner. (B, D)

A full breakfast is included at the hotel, with the morning at leisure. Stroll the Boardwalk, relax by the pool or do some shopping. This afternoon for those who would like to take a journey, our local guide will take us along the coast into North Carolina to the village of Calabash. With its seafood restaurants, and unusual shops, one called St. Nick’s Knacks and an incredible consignment shop named Bloomin’deals.  Calabash is indeed a unique town. If you would rather, you can spend the day at the golf course or just relaxing at the beach. Tonight dinner is included at Thoroughbreds Restaurant before an evening of musical entertainment at the acclaimed Carolina Opry. (B, D)

Begin the day with breakfast before heading south along the Grand Strand to classic Charleston. This historic port city has all the charm and elegance of the Old South. Our guided tour will include The Battery, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired on Fort Sumter, as well as, Marion Square, the College of the Citadel and you’ll see many Ante Bellum homes. Simply put, Charleston is charming. Dinner is included in Charleston at Bubba Gump’s Shrimp House before we return to Myrtle Beach for the night. (B, D)

Breakfast is included, at your leisure this morning, before have the morning free to enjoy Myrtle Beach at your own pace. This afternoon, we depart for a little shopping at the popular Barefoot Landing before dinner. After, we take our seats at the famous Alabama Theatre to see ONE, the  show. (B, D)

After breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to the Ocean Reef and beautiful Myrtle Beach and be on our way back to Fredericksburg, VA with lodging at the Holiday Inn Express. (B)

Homeward Bound!  Continental breakfast is included. We will make a stop for lunch, on own, en route home. (B)
