Itinerary

Day 1 - Home - Philadelphia, PA

Take an incredible journey with Tours of Distinction back in time to  see some of our nation’s history! Our journey begins with a morning departure.  As we head to Historic Philadelphia, where we will visit the Reading Terminal Market for lunch, before we visit the Independence Seaport Museum. Explore one of the largest maritime art and artifact collections in North America, documenting local and regional history, including the Port of Philadelphia. The Seaport Museum was founded in 1960 as the Philadelphia Maritime Museum and has become a key component of Philadelphia’s waterfront renaissance. Our hotel accommodations are at the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District. Enjoy dinner aboard the Moshulu, the only restaurant venue on a Tall Ship today! (D)

Day 2 - Philadelphia - Pittsburgh, PA

Following breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Pittsburgh, PA. Enjoy the trip across Pennsylvania before arriving at our accommodations for the next two nights, the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square. Spend the evening exploring Station Square at your leisure before returning to the hotel for the evening. (B) 

Day 3 - Pittsburgh, PA

After breakfast, we embark on a full day guided tour of some of Pittsburgh’s Steel History sights; including the Carnegie Blast Furnaces, the Historic Pump House, and a visit to the Duquesne Incline. Lunch, is included on the tour. This evening we will visit one of Pittsburgh’s local restaurants for dinner before heading back to the hotel (B, L, D)

Day 4 - Pittsburgh, PA - Baltimore, MD

This morning, following breakfast at the hotel, we will say farewell to Pittsburgh and travel to Baltimore. Upon arrival in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, we check into our hotel, the Days Inn Baltimore Inner Harbor. The rest of the day is yours to explore. (B)

Day 5 - Baltimore, MD - Home

From breakfast, we depart for historic Annapolis, the capitol of Maryland. It is here we tour the United States Naval Academy before we returning home with a newfound knowledge of our nation’s naval and industrial histories.
