Itinerary
Day 1 - Depart for Dublin, Ireland
Arrive at the airport and board your overnight flight to Dublin, Ireland.
Day 2 - Arrive Dublin
Upon arriving at Dublin International Airport, you will be met by your local guide and escorted to your awaiting motor coach. This morning you will discover Dublin, with a Panoramic City Tour where you can take in the sights of this historic and vibrant city. Round off your tour with a stop at the world-famous Guinness Storehouse where you can enjoy a drink at the Gravity Bar. After, check in to the Camden Court Hotel that is a few minutes stroll from Grafton Street.
Day 3 - Dublin - London, England
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to London. Cockney accents, afternoon tea, fish and chips, the Tower Bridge, Big Ben, and the House of Parliament are just some of the spectacular sights that will greet you in London. A highlight is a visit to the London Eye that offers unforgettable views of this historic and fascinating multi-cultural city.Later, you will be transferred to The Park International Hotel London for your two-night stay. Day 4 - London
Few cities have such a wealth of grandeur, history, and magnificent architecture as London. The day begins with a tour of the Tower of London; an amazing fortress built by William the Conqueror, site of many a royal beheading and home of the fabulous Crown Jewels. Don’t miss a photo op with one of the Guards of the Tower!
In the afternoon be on the lookout for witches, wizards, Muggles, and Squibs on the Harry Potter Tour where you will see locations where the movies were filmed as well as places that inspired author J.K. Rowling.
Return back to your hotel to freshen up prior to dinner. (B, D)
Day 5 - London - Cardiff
Today we say farewell to London as we make our way to see the most famous prehistoric monument in the world, Stonehenge, an iconic World Heritage Site. This ring of standing stones often pose more questions than answers and have been wondered and worshiped at for more than 5,000 years.
Continue your journey to the quaint village of Bath where you will journey back to ancient Rome. The Romans built a magnificent temple and bathing complex around Britain’s only hot spring, one that is that still flows with natural hot water today. It is a historically immersive experience to walk in the footsteps of ancient Romans along ancient stone pavement through the mist of this ancient thermae and temple.
We round off the day with a visit to Cardiff Castle, a medieval castle boasting 2,000 years of history. Climb the Norman Keep, stroll along the Battlement Walk, marvel at the castle apartments, and discover Roman remains and Chariot Corner. Tonight, we feast at a traditional Welsh banquet. (B,D)
Day 6 - Cardiff - Stratford-upon-Avon
Following breakfast, we set off to see Warwick Castle, the greatest medieval castle in Britain with a history that dates back over 1,100 years. First built as a wooden fort, it was later transformed in the 13th century into the stone castle seen today. See the Princess Tower, the Great Hall, State Rooms, and bedrooms. If you are feeling brave don’t miss a visit to the dungeons that are not for the faint of heart.
Following the tour of Warwick Castle, travel to Henley Street in Stratford-upon-Avon, a charming market town set in the heart of rural England. There are some wonderful half wooden houses here that date back to Shakespeare’s time, including the home that is believed to be Shakespeare’s birthplace.
After, we continue and check into our hotel, with the remainder of the night on your own. (B)
Day 7 - Stratford-upon-Avon - Windsor
Today get ready to climb aboard Hogwarts’s Express for an unforgettable Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour. Go behind the scenes and take a look at how the Harry Potter films were made and listen to previously unheard anecdotes. This unique walking studio tour showcases a huge array of beautiful costumes, props, and sets like the Great Hall, Dumbledore’s office, and Diagon Alley with many shop fronts to name just a few.
In the afternoon, we make our way to our hotel to check in and enjoy a farewell dinner. (B,D)
Day 8 - Depart Windsor
After breakfast this morning, we transfer to the airport and board the flight home. The tour may be over, but the memories of all the beautiful and magical places we have visited on this trip will stay with you forever. (B)
