Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive Athens, Greece
Transfer from the Athens airport (on own) and check in to your hotel and meet your Tour Director. Known as the most important civilization of the ancient world, Athens blends classical history and architectural masterpieces with modern culture. Join your fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner this evening.
Day 2 - Athens
You’ll start the day with an Athens City Tour featuring the Ancient Olympic Stadium, Temple of Zeus and Syntagma Square. Next, travel back in time to the Acropolis and explore the art and history of the incredible Parthenon, symbol of democracy and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. We’ll also view classical masterpieces on display at the New Acropolis Museum and then will continue to Plaka, the oldest part of the city, known for authentic restaurants and shopping. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure exploring Athens.
Day 3 - Athens - Mykonos
This morning takes you to the Port of Piraeus for a high-speed ferry to the Aegean island of Mykonos. Check into your hotel for a two-night stay and enjoy the remainder of the day discovering the charming buildings and sandy beaches of this iconic and festive town.
Day 4 - Mykonos
We take a ferry to Delos this morning, the legendary birthplace of Apollo and one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece. A tour is included, featuring the Temple of Apollo, the Sanctuary of Artemis, the Old City, the Theater and the Terrace of the Lions. You’ll have free time in the afternoon, perfect for further sightseeing or a visit to the Museum of Delos. We end the day with a return to Mykonos for dinner on your own at one of the town’s exceptional restaurants.
Day 5 - Mykonos - Santorini
Famous for it’s white-washed buildings perched above turquoise waters, Santorini is one of the most picturesque islands in the world. We’ll begin the day with a high-speed ferry to the island and will first enjoy a visit to a local winery for a tour & tasting. The volcanic soil and climate of Santorini give local wines a unique flavor. Next, travel to the coastal town of Oia and enjoy a Walking Tour of this captivating cliffside village, one of the most photographed places in Greece. Later, you’ll check in for a two-night hotel stay and enjoy a dinner with your fellow travelers.
Day 6 - Santorini
Spend today as you choose. Enjoy colorful beaches, spectacular views and relaxing Mediterranean cafes or perhaps visit the ancient ruins of Akrotiri or the Museum of Prehistoric Thera. You have a full day to explore, shop, dine and take photos of the Santorini sunset.
Day 7 - Santorini - Athens
A high-speed ferry takes us back to Athens for a day at leisure. Linger in a café or enjoy some last minute shopping and sightseeing. Enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers this evening.
Day 8 - Depart Athens
Today, depart for home and reflect on happy memories of your time in Greece. Opa!
