Itinerary
Day 1 - Depart for Cairo, Egypt
Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to Cairo, Egypt.
Day 2 - Arrive Cairo
Welcome to Cairo. Meet your Tours of Distinction Tour Director and be transferred to your hotel for check in. The rest of your night is at leisure before getting together for a welcome dinner.
Day 3 - Giza Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara
Spend the morning exploring the Great Pyramids and Sphinx by camel! In the afternoon, we will travel to Saqqara to visit the famous Imhotep Museum. After the museum, enjoy Memphis which is home to the 3,200 year old statue of King Ramses the Second.
Day 4 - Cairo - Aswan - Abu Simbel
This morning we will hop on our flight to Aswan. Upon arrival we will visit Abu Simble. Here we will explore the temples for King Ramses II, which served as a lasting monument to the king and his queen Nefrtari. At night we will check into our hotel and have the rest of the night at your leisure.
Day 5 - Aswan - Nile River Cruise
After breakfast, we will check out of our hotel and visit Philea, by motorboat. After exploring the Temple of Isis, we will board our Nile River Cruise for lunch and check in.
Day 6 - Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples
Following breakfast, we will visit the Temple of Horus, by horse carriage. The Temple of Horus is located in Edfu. Our next stop will be visiting the amazing Temple of Kom Ombo which is dedicated to two gods, Horus, the Falcon God, and Sobek the Crocodile God. We will also visit the unique Crocodile Museum. This evening we will continue cruising down the Nile.
Day 7 - Luxor West Bank
Our first visit of the day will be to the Valley of the Kings. This is the final resting place for the Old Kings of Egypt. For a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, rock cut tombs were excavated for the pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom. After, we will be touring the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. We will spend the rest of the evening cruising down the Nile.
Day 8 - Luxor West Bank - Cairo
After breakfast, we will depart our Nile Cruise and fly back to Cairo where you will have the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 9 - Cairo
After breakfast, we will tour the Egyptian Museum. The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It houses 120,000 items, some of the most famous are for young King Tut. After, we will explore Old Cairo.
Day 10 - Depart Cairo
After breakfast, we head to the airport for the flight home. Upon arrival in the USA, transfer home filled with wonderful stories and memories about Egypt.
