Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Toronto, Canada

Your tour of eastern Canada begins at the capital of Ontario, the sophisticated city of Toronto, where we spend the two nights in the center of the city. Meet up with your group before spending the remainder of the day at your leisure exploring the eclectic mix of historic neighborhoods such as Corktown, and the modern flavor of New York Center. 

*Please arrive no later than 4:00pm.

Day 2 - Toronto / Niagara Falls

We’ll meet for breakfast this morning before heading to the majestic Niagara Falls on the U.S./Canada border. You’ll get up close and feel the mist on your face as we enjoy a boat cruise to the base of the thundering falls. A visit to the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is next. Stroll the tree-lined streets of this waterfront village filled with boutique shops, quaint bistros, lush gardens and horse-drawn carriages. This evening, join your fellow travelers and savor Toronto’s world-class culinary scene at a Welcome Dinner.

Day 3 - Toronto - Ottawa

We depart Toronto after breakfast and head to Rockway to view the enchanting landscapes of Thousand Islands National Park. A St. Lawrence River Cruise showcases the unique mix of the lavish Gilded Age estates and rugged natural beauty of the region. Later, we arrive for two nights in Canada’s capital, Ottawa. Spend the evening at your own pace discovering the treasures of this history-rich city.

Day 4 - Ottawa

A walking tour of Ottawa awaits us after breakfast. From picturesque Parliament Hill to the National Art Gallery and the Rideau Canal, we’ll enjoy viewing the grand architecture and beautiful scenery of this historic city. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 5 - Ottawa - Quebec City, Quebec

We depart after breakfast for Quebec City, the center of French heritage in Canada. We’ll have free time this afternoon to walk among the 17th century buildings lining the cobblestone streets. We’ll enjoy dinner together tonight on Ile d’Orleans. With flourishing vineyards, orchards and farms, this island on the Saint Lawrence River is a food lover’s paradise.

Day 6 - Quebec City

Your choice of tour style is on today’s menu. After breakfast, choose to discover the Place Royale and historic squares of Old Quebec City on foot -OR- board a coach for a wide-ranging tour of both Old & New Quebec, including a stop at the famous Chateau Frontenac. Spend the evening as you wish, surrounded by the European charm of Quebec.

Day 7 - Quebec City - Montreal

Breakfast today will be sweet! We’ll start the day with a visit to a rustic sugar shack in the countryside for a sampling of traditional foods featuring delicious Canadian maple syrup – and it’s not just for pancakes up here! Next is a visit to the breathtaking Montmorency Falls, which cascades dramatically over a rock face to join the Saint Lawrence River. We’ll continue on to the last city on our tour, Montreal. Enjoy old-world charm and European-inspired cuisine as you get to know the city on your own this evening.

Day 8 - Montreal

A full morning of sightseeing awaits you after breakfast as we tour iconic places around the city, including Jacques Cartier Square and a stop to take in the spectacular views from atop Mount Royal, the small mountain the city was named for.  Spend your last afternoon of the trip at leisure among the cobblestone streets of historic Old Montreal. We’ll gather for a farewell dinner this evening to toast the end of our memorable Canadian tour.

Day 9 - Depart Montreal

Enjoy one last croissant at breakfast before bidding au revoir to Canada. Transfer to the airport at anytime*.
