Day 1 - Mystic, Connecticut
This morning will be one of beauty and history. You will board the 81-foot Schooner Argia for a 2 ½ hour narrated sightseeing cruise. From the wooden deck, you will see the Captains’ homes along the river and hear about this area that is so rich in maritime history. Sit back and relax as you sail by scenic coastlines, islands, and lighthouses, or you might feel up to helping the crew hoist and trim the sails.
Your cruise will set sail from Mystic and travel down the historic Mystic River to Fishers’ Island Sound. You will be sailing in smooth and protected waters.
After your cruise enjoy lunch at Go Fish which is the country’s most innovative seafood restaurant. Choose one of the following entrees: Pan Roasted Chicken Breast with a mushroom-marsala pan sauce, Grilled Salmon with fresh pineapple salsa, or Baked Atlantic Cod with a lemon-herb butter. All entrees include a field greens salad, coffee, tea, and dessert.
After lunch, spend some free-time in Olde Mistick Village. You will have time to explore the unique shops, and stroll the village.
