Head to New Hampshire for a scenic autumn day!
Hop aboard the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad for a relaxing fall foliage train ride. You’ll head north from Meredith and past several small lakes. The train will continue up and over the Ashland Summit, across the Ashland Trestle, and past the Bonnie Brae Deer Farm. You’ll make a stop in the quaint village of Plymouth where you’ll enjoy a hot buffet lunch at the Common Man Inn and Restaurant. Today’s lunch menu will consist of: Homemade Vegetable Soup, Rolls and Butter, Homemade Meat Lasagna, Vegetable Stir Fry (with Gluten Free Pasta), Roast Turkey (with Sage Stuffing, Gravy, and Cranberry Sauce), Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetable, Dessert, Soda, Coffee, and Tea. You may want to bring your camera as the train will make a brief stop at the restored Ashland Train Station where you will be greeted by station attendants dressed in period attire.
Spend some free-time at Mill Falls Marketplace which offers a truly unique shopping and dining experience. The Marketplace features 9 fabulous shops, 3 distinctive dining options throughout the resort, brick walkways, flower gardens, a 40-foot waterfall, and views of Lake Winnipesaukee.
