Day 1 - Kingston, NY
This morning’s Fall Foliage journey has us traveling to Kingston, NY. The city of Kingston dates to the arrival of the Dutch in 1652, a vibrant city today with a rich history and beautiful architecture. Our first stop is for lunch at a restaurant located in downtown Kingston. Here, our buffet lunch consists of the house salad, herb roasted chicken, crusted cod, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and pie for dessert.
After lunch it is all aboard! Our 90-minute narrated journey takes us into the heart of Catskill State Park. This historic rail line provides a nostalgic journey through roaring rivers, beautiful mountain views and lush forests shimmering in the sun with all the colors of Fall. Sit back and relax. It is a charming way to experience the natural beauty and history of the Catskills.
