Here is what we are doing for your safety and security in travel.
Since 1971, Tours of Distinction has navigated good times and challenging times, and now, unprecedented times successfully because, at our core, we believe in responsible travel. The safety and well being of our travelers and the enjoyment that they experience from our customized trip itineraries has always been the number one priority of our business. As the travel industry re-opens and new and advanced safety protocols are being implemented we are hopeful that we will be able to travel with confidence again very soon. We have weathered many circumstances beyond our control and are financially able to weather the current situation.
Tours of Distinction is working with partners, worldwide that adhere to health and safety measures from the CDC guidelines. We believe that safe travel is a shared responsibility and one that we have always taken very seriously. In consultation with our numerous partners and in conjunction with the U.S. State Department we have decided to take things slowly and carefully, with your safety and our stellar reputation of more than 50 years in mind. We have decided to cancel all trips through December 31, 2020, in an abundance of caution as the travel industry continues to implement new safeguards and hygiene protocols that will enable people to travel with confidence with Tours of Distinction.
We are here to answer any questions and support your travel plans and dream getaways. Just email or give a Tours of Distinction Team Member or your Group Leader/Travel Agent a call, we are here to help you navigate your itinerary and travel plans.
If you are scheduled to travel with us up to December 31, 2020, we have altered our travel policies as follows:
- For reservations paid-in-full: The option to take the trip at the rescheduled date or receive a travel credit at 110% the value of the original tour booked. The voucher is transferrable and never expires.
Transfer your booking or voucher to another person of your choice at no cost.
Transfer to the new tour date.
Trips departing January 1, 2021, and after are currently scheduled to depart. Final payments for these tours are due 30 days prior to departure.
The trip experience with Tours of Distinction begins the moment you reserve your space on one of our tours. As part of our guided group tour packages, we secure reputable vendors, accommodations, transportation, guides, and sightseeing excursions months, if not years ahead of the tour departure date. We only work with vetted businesses and brands that practice consistency in safety and customer satisfaction.

Dear Valued Traveller,
We want to say thank you for being part of the Tours of Distinction community and hope everyone is staying safe during these times. Health and safety is key; our lives have taken a 180 degree turn. We continue to monitor the situation hourly and are in constant contact with our expert partners in travel determining the best course of action. We thank you for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.
As events unfold with the coronavirus, Tours of Distinction has decided that the best practice in accordance with industry standards and the CDC is to cancel all tours through May 31, 2020. We are reaching out to all booked and to discuss re-scheduling options.
As of Monday, March 24 the Tours of Distinction team will be working remotely and here to support you during these times. Currently, email is the most efficient way to stay in touch. Our available hours are reduced to 10am - 4pm EDT.
We are doing are part to keep travel special and to be ready to go when this passes. We look forward to you traveling again soon and are here for any questions and trip planning until then.

To Our Valued Customers,
In these fluctuating times, I wanted to reach out to you personally about what we are doing here at Tours of Distinction to support your travel plans. The staff at Tours Of Distinction is just as concerned as you about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and that’s why we wanted to communicate some of the pro-active actions and precautions we’re currently taking to keep our customers safe. Now, more than ever, our business is you.
We are committed to keeping you safe during this time and are closely monitoring all World, National, State and Local health announcements. In order to ensure that our clients, staff, partners, and team in the field are not put under any unnecessary risk we have decided to cancel and postpone several planned trips through April 15. We are doing this because we are vigilantly dedicated to responsible and safe travel, with the goal of providing maximum travel flexibility.
We are working to with our travel partners to reschedule trips as we continue to monitor this fluid situation. As it has always been, the safety and security of you and our team members remains our highest priority. We will strive to keep our traveling community and partners updated as this public health emergency unfolds and continues to evolve.
There are things you can do to help yourself and others. Take time to unwind, continue to follow basic hygiene practices, and check in with loved ones, especially those at risk. In Connecticut if you want to ask specific questions about the virus, call 211; and to receive regular state updates text CTCOVID to 898211. On a national basis the CDC (www.cdc.org) is an excellent resource.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate solutions and reschedule trips. We remain committed to offering you as many flexible booking options as possible given these unique circumstances and will make additional adjustments as warranted to our booking policies.
