STUDENT TOUR POLICIES:

How many people do we need:
We use 55, 56 and 57 passenger motor-coaches. These can comfortably hold at least 54 people. We do not suggest more than 54, however, because it’s always nice to have an empty seat or two just in case. Each tour has been priced three ways. For groups of 36 – 39 paying passengers; 40 – 43 paying passengers; and 44 or more passengers. We will also be happy to quote a special price if your group is smaller than 36.

Free travel for Teachers and other Adult Chaperones:
We allow 1 free trip for each 10 paying passengers. For example, if you have 40 paying students on a tour we will give you 4 free seats, making a total of 44 people. On multi-day tours complimentary persons are usually housed in double rooms.

When are payments due:
For 1-Day Tours a deposit of $100.00 per bus will be due within four weeks of receiving tour confirmation. Full payment will be due 30 days before departure.
For Multi-Day Tours a deposit of $500.00 per bus will be due within four weeks of receiving tour confirmation. Full payment is due 30 days before departure. A Rooming List containing first and last names is also due 30 days in advance. Students can be added and changes made even after full payment is received.

Cancellation Policy:
1-Day Tour cancellations 7 Days or more before departure get a Full Refund. Cancellations 6 days to 24 hours before departure will be charged a 50% fee. There will be No Refund for cancellations within 24 hours of departure.
Multi Day Tour passengers cancelling 15 or more days before departure will receive a Full Refund. Cancellations 14 days to 24 hours before departure are charged a $50.00 fee. There will be No Refund for cancellations within 24 hours of departure.

Student Cancellation Protection:
You might want to add special cancellation protection for each of your students. The cost is a modest $5.00 for each $100.00 of tour cost. Under the terms of this plan a student can cancel up to 24 hours before departure for any reason. Cancellations within 24 hours of departure are not covered, however, and will be subject to normal cancellation penalties.

Tour Managers, Gratuities and Responsibilities:
A professional Tour Manager is included on each Student Tour. This highly trained individual will travel with you and handle all the tour details. Gratuities for the Tour Manager, Bus Driver and local guides have been included in the cost of your tour. TOURS OF DISTINCTION, Inc. acts only in the capacity of agent in all matters connected with hotels, restaurants, tour services, attractions and transportation companies. We assume no responsibility for any damage, injury or loss resulting from any inconvenience caused by a delay, cancellation of service, strike, act of terrorism or any other condition beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify an itinerary if necessary. Tours of Distinction, Inc. is a member in good standing with the National Tour Association and American Bus Association.
