Important Tour Information

Policies and Procedures:
This information will help to provide you with the necessary information about your Group Tour. Because we treat everyone with individual attention, we understand that some policies and procedures may need to be modified specifically for your group. Please let us know if you have any concerns regarding any of these policies or procedures and we will be happy to handle your requests in the best possible manner.

These same policies and general information also applies to Travel Club Members.

GROUP SIZE
On MOST tours, prices are based on a minimum of 40 “paying” passengers. In some instances , we might be able to join your group with another in order to maintain our special low tour prices. However, should you not wish to join with another group, or should you decide you want to operate a tour on your own private motorcoach with smaller numbers, we will be happy to accommodate your group and re-price your tour accordingly.

Departure Locations:
We will pick your group up at a point of your choosing. A second pick-up is also no problem with advance notice. However, in order to maintain the proper schedule, we ask that you limit the number of departure locations to a maximum of two.

Travel Club Members will always depart from the Springfield Bus Terminal unless otherwise stated in the tour.

Transportation:
TOURS OF DISTINCTION charters motorcoaches from local, professional companies. We know some groups prefer certain carriers and also have specific driver requests. We will be happy to handle your requests provided the carrier will work within our guidelines. In most instances, motorcoaches are available in either 47 or 55, and occasionally 57 passenger sizes.

Baggage Allowance:
Overnight Tour Passengers are allowed to bring one suitcase, included in the price of the tour, and may carry a small overnight bag on board. Tours of Distinction assumes no liability for lost or damaged luggage or personal property.

Deposit and Final Payment Policies:
Motorcoach Tours:
SHOW TOURS:

An Advance Deposit in the amount of $1.00 per ticket is required within 15 days after confirmation of your tour. The final payment is due 30 days prior to the program.

ONE-DAY TOURS:
An Advance Deposit in the amount of $50 is required within 30 days after confirmation of your tour. The final payment is due 30 days prior to departure.

An Advance Deposit in the amount of $50 is required within 30 days after confirmation of your tour. The final payment is due 30 days prior to departure.

MULTI-DAY TOURS:
An Advance Deposit is required based on the individual tour and departure date. The final payment, along with your Group Rooming List is ALWAYS due 30 days prior to departure.

ALL TOURS:
For tours that include special functions such as Theater Tickets, Sports Tickets, Concert Tickets, etc., the cost of the special tickets is usually required 30 days after confirmation of your tour.

Air & Cruise Tours:
Special policies exist for each of these tour programs. Please inquire about the policies for a particular tour.

NOTE ON PAYMENTS
ALL CHECKS presented for payment are to be made payable to TOURS OF DISTINCTION! There will be a $15 fee for any returned checks.

Cancellation Policy:
SHOW TOURS:
Cancellations received prior to 30 days before the show will receive the full refund. Cancellations received 30 days or less prior to the show date are non-refundable.
PLEASE NOTE: All cancellations are subject to non-recoverable expenses.

ONE-DAY TOUR:
Cancellations received within 14 days of departure; there will be a 50% penalty. There will be NO REFUND for cancellations on the day of departure.
PLEASE NOTE: all cancellations are subject to non-recoverable expenses.

MULTI-DAY TOURS: There is a FULL REFUND for cancellations received 45 days or more before departure. Cancellations received 44 - 15 days before departure will have a $50.00 cancellation fee plus any non-recoverable expenses. 14 -1 days before departure will have a 50% penalty plus non-recoverable expenses. There will be NO REFUND for cancellations on the day of departure.

Travel Insurance Protection:

Tours of Distinction offers Travel Insurance Protection.  Please call our office at (800) 426-4324 for information on the plan that best meets your needs.

We strongly recommend the purchase of Travel Insurance.

Tours Requiring Proof of Citizenship:

In order to comply with Canadian Custom Regulations PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP is necessary. Prior to 6/1/09 traveling via motorcoach you MUST bring with you either an original birth certificate with a raised seal along with another form of picture identifaction, OR a valid passport. Beginning 6/1/09 Canadian Customs will accept ONLY a valid passport.

All other air tours outside of the United States and cruises require a valid passport.

Responsiblities:
Tours of Distinction, Inc. acts only in the capacity of agent in all matters connected with hotels, restaurants, tour services, attractions, and transportation companies. We assume no responsibility for any damage, injury or loss resulting from any inconveniences caused by a delay, cancellation of service, strike or any other condition beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify an itinerary when necessary.

Tour Directors and Driver Gratuities:
With the exception of specially noted tours, all 2009 OVERNIGHT trips Include the services of a Tours of Distinction Tour Director. In addition, customary Drivers and Tour Directors Gratuities have Not Been Included in our tour prices. However, if you wish to have tips included in your tour prices, we suggest $3.00 per person, per day for the Tour Director and the same amount for the Bus Driver.
